Tēnā koutou Hineuru,

This pānui is to advise that your personal details in the Ngāti Hineuru Iwi Incorporated (‘NHII’) register will be transferred to Te Kōpere o te iwi o Hineuru Trust (‘Te Kōpere’) for developing and maintaining Te Kōpere’s iwi register as required under clause 4.1 of the Te Kōpere Deed of Trust. What this means is that you will not need to re-register with Te Kōpere as a member of Hineuru iwi as your current details will be transferred. It also will mean you, as a registered member, will receive pānui and communications from Te Kōpere and be entitled to participate in the voting of Board members to Te Kōpere.

We note that in the ratification of the Hineuru settlement, there were whānau members that expressly wanted their details transferred and those that did not. Those that did agree have already had their names transferred. Those that did not will not have their names transferred in accordance with their wishes. This email is therefore intended primarily for those Hineuru members that did not participate in the ratification of the Hineuru settlement.

In accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act 1993, we are required to notify you of this transfer of your personal details. If you do not wish to have your details transferred from NHII to Te Kōpere, please let us know by emailing info@ngatihineuru.com We will need to know of your decision not to transfer your personal details by 18 December 2015 as the date of transfer will be 20 December 2015.

If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing info@ngatihineuru.com or by phoning 027 429 2871.

Ngā mihi,

Te Kōpere.
